Reporting directly to the Project Engineer
We require a resident engineer for a national roads project in Polokwane
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• BSc/BEng/BIng or BTech in civil engineering
• Registration with ECSA as a professional technologist or professional engineer
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction monitoring of large road projects
• Experience with asphalt and seal work
• Experience on SANRAL projects will be an advantage
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Resident Engineer for a reseal project on a national road
• Manage day-to-day construction monitoring of the project
• Manage a team of Engineer’s site personnel
• Oversee operations and activities of the site laboratory
• Acceptance quality control
• Contract administration (including drawings and instructions; measurement and payment; monthly site and technical meetings; progress reports and as-built records)
