One of our clients, a leader in the IT industry, is looking for a dynamic AA/EE candidate to take up the role of Resource Management Consultant and to become a part of their team!

Description of responsibilities:
Account Management / Business DevelopmentMaintaining of existing business/business development to grow client base:
• Understand client’s business environment, technology and resource requirements
• Drawing up an Account Plan with respect to existing clients, new clients to be targeted, technology of the areas, responsible person, decision makers, expected revenue
• Farming of existing client base in order to grow business in these areas
• Targeting and cold calling on new clients in order to expand client/requirement base
• Regular visits to clients to get feedback on current requirements, future requirements, CV’s proposed
• Negotiate and finalize contract extensions and rate increases
• Ensure that all client contracts are up to date and signed
• Getting feedback from Line Managers on consultant’s performance & giving feedback to consultants
• Address any matters escalated by client Line Managers or internal management

Sourcing:
• Making monthly placements as per individual target
• Pro-active involvement with regards to client’s current and future resource/technology requirements
• Qualifying of client job specifications
• Sourcing of direct candidates through as many recruitment channels as possible
• Liaison with Preferred Suppliers re specs, rates when required
• Proper screening of candidates (Interviews, Ref Checks, Credit Checks etc.) and matching of CV’s to client requirements
• Ensuring well matched CV’s are proposed to clients timeously
• Organising client interviews and ensuring that candidates and agencies/suppliers are properly briefed on client, vacancy, contact person, address and directions
• Getting feedback from clients on candidates and updating of candidates on the status of their application
• Finalisation of contract start date, rate/salary etc. with client/candidate and regret of unsuccessful candidates
• Responsible for completion of tenders as and when required
• Understand the implications of “Company business terms and conditions” and “Labour Broker” agreement
• Replacement of consultants should they resign

Consultants
• Liaising with Consultants wrt contract extensions/rate increases
• Ensuring that they get feedback on their performance twice a year
• Retention of consultants by negotiating favorable conditions as far as possible
• Forward any ad hoc requirements the consultants might have to Line Manager and ensure that matters/issues are addressed
• Give guidelines when discussing rate increases e.g. market increases (CPI), client’s average increases for a specific year (Manage consultant’s expectations)

Qualifications and experience required:
• Relevant post-matric diploma/degree is compulsory
• Experience in an IT recruitment environment will be essential
• Solid track record of previous experience in a pressurised environment or similar position
• Must be able to work after hours as and when required
• Must be willing to travel to various client sites on a regular basis
