Karoo Grill & Bar has a vacancy from January for a senior and experienced restaurant Assistant Manager. This 300 seat family run independent restaurant in Irene Village Mall has a large menu, mainly focused on grills and traditional South African dishes. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a management position in a steak house or other full service restaurant over at least 5 years and be familiar with a wide-ranging menu, have an eye for detail, be a stickler for service excellence, have good people skills and be an all-rounder able to open, supervise cleaning and preparation, interact with each and every table, take and insert daily food and beverage stocks and cash up as part of the management team of five. Weekend work is essential. Own transport required. Various shifts each week with one and a half days off.
