Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Restaurant Manager for a Luxury Lodge based in Hermanus, Western Cape. This 5* establishment is seeking a sophisticated, professional candidate to take on this role and be able to train and maintain the 5* standards expected in such an establishment. The responsibilities of this role will include:1.)Manage a restaurant team of approx 12 staff each.2.)Manage staff rosters3) Promoting growth and development of service staff through on-the-job training4.)Stock control. To be considered you must have:Ability to manage a staff complement in a way that is conducive to excellent team work.Ability to deal with problems occurring on a day to day basis.Ability to deal with emergenciesKnowledge of the operation of a hotel/lodgeExcellent knowledge of food preparation and terminology.Excellent knowledge of beverages and wines.The ability to work as an individual and as a teamThe ability to communicate with guests of all races and languages The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to work with the in house sommelier to further develop their wine knowledge, so a passion for this side of the business is also a musts for the role!
