Our client is recruiting for Shop Managers, to implement, control and application of all company policies and procedures as per staff handbook.
Implementation, control & application of all Company policies & procedures as per staff handbook
Ensuring the shop runs efficiently
Ensure customers are happy
Ensure shop assistants are motivated & happy
Ensure the vibe of the shop is maintained
COMPLETE daily opening & closing procedures checklist
Maintaining & controlling staff DUTY rosters including all labour issues (sick notes, late for work, LEAVE ETC)
Stock Control
Complete DAILY STOCK COUNTS
Ensuring correct product quality & quantity on receipt from supplier
Grv stock into gaap
Ordering stock based on weekly budgets
Recoup FROM staff all losses of stock through wastage, theft & negligence following the correct procedures
Health, Safety & Cleaning
Maintaining health & safety standards
Carry out All duties consistent with kitchen hygiene before, during & after service (including am /pm shifts)
Advising staff on personal hygiene standards & ensure standards are met
Promoting sanitation in the kitchen area
Be efficient in terms of organizing the stock shelves
Responsible for labeling, covering & storing foods inside the kitchen to prevent it from poison or contamination
CHECK & SIGN OFF ON THE daily cleaning register for grease trap, extractor & TOILETS
ENSURE THAT OIL IS FILTERED DAILY
ENSURE THAT THE SHOP IS CLEAN & TIDY AT ALL TIMES
Food Control
Overseeing & controlling of preparation & presentation of food
Maintaining proper food production practices, time, quality & quantities
Be ready & able to take over the station of any team member who is absent
Daily kitchen prep checks, am & pm
Quality Standards
Reporting about the everyday business of the SHOP to the OPS MANAGER OR M.D & bringing to notice any problem(S) THAT arise.
Repairs & Maintenance
ENSURE THAT ALL COMPANY’S ASSETS ARE WELL LOOKED AFTER
Monitor condition of all equipment & oversee the repair with the relevant contractor if necessary (refer to the list of contractors on the pos)
Reporting any damaged equipment to operations manager
Customer relations
Building & maintaining relationships with customers
General table visits throughout service
Ensuring all complaints made by the customers are seen to & rectified IMMEDIATELY
Financial & Cashier
Adhering to, controlling & implementing all budgets & TARGETS set for the SHOP
Ensuring all cash is accounted for
COMPLETE THE daily cash up sheet
MANNING THE till/POS, & DELEGATING THIS ROLE TO OTHER STAFF MEMBERS WHERE NECESSARY
Cashing up & balancing the till & notifying the operations manager of any DISCREPANCIES
Ensuring all grv’s are correctly inputted into the system
THERE ARE FEW CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS

SHOP TURNOVER INCREASES MONTHLY
SHOP IS ALWAYS CLEAN & TIDY
STAFF ARE HAPPY & MOTIVATED
ALL ADMIN DUTIES ARE DILLIGENTLY & TIMEOUSLY COMPLETED.
Matric
Must have at least 5 years management experience
Must be willing to work shifts
