Our client, a leading South African retailer is looking for a highly talented Analyst to join their team in Cape Town

Minimum Requirements:
• 5+ years analytical experience (some experience must be obtained from a retail concern)
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required (Maths or Stats)
• High proficiency in advanced Excel
Very comfortable with SQL and reporting

Your responsibilities will include:
• Support the Categories Management teams to manage performance against plan through:
o Identifying risks and opportunities,
o Generating and sharing insights
o Making practical and sustainable recommendations
• Support the Category Management teams in developing tactical and strategic plans by
o Creating and maintain the tactical and strategic planning frameworks
o Gathering data available internally, including market analysis
o Coordinating the gathering required data for analysis from external stakeholders
• Analysing data to generate insights and recommendations
• Knowledge sharing within the Analyst team
• Support the Category Management teams by developing
o Standardised processes, tools and templates to manage the business
o Designing appropriate performance management reports and dashboards
• General problem solving and root cause analysis
