A privately held property investment and development company based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, is actively recruiting for a Retail Financial Manager. You will be responsible to monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, to ensure the flow of accurate and timeous financial data to the company stake holders and external regulators.

CA(SA)
BCom Accounting with Articles
CIMA
Skills & Experience:
Experience managing a large to medium size finance team
Minimum 3 - 5 years relevant work experience in the retail or franchise industry
Job Description:
Implement and maintain treasury policies and procedures for the cash up and cash handling at a store level.
Constantly improve the cash ups process in response to changes in the business environment.
Prepare monthly analysis of income and expenditure against prior year and budget, providing explanations and business solutions to help mitigate the risks.
Ensure all expenditure is tracked, reported and manage accruals efficiently.
Implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for financial activities including financial accounting and reporting.
Ensure financial governance, internal controls, compliance to the group’s standards and reporting requirements are achieved in the specific timeline.
Develop standard and new accounting procedures to improve financial operations efficiency.
Ensure all statutory payments (e.g. income tax, VAT) are made accurately and before deadline.
Implement and maintain stock policies and procedures for all aspects of the stock management, i.e. Ordering, receiving, counting, transferring, etc.
