Our prestigious kitchenware retail client is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant for their Tableview branch.

Duties& Responsibilities:
• Greeting customers who enter the shop.
• Helping and advising customers with their product selection and dealing with any special orders, complaints and enquiries as appropriate.
• Assist with the implementation of advertising and promotional strategies and activities.
• Process all sales transactions quickly and efficiently following the correct till procedures.
• Ensure customers are greeted and helped with their product selection
• Ensuring that excellent levels of customer care and service are delivered at all times.
• Communicate with clients and evaluate their needs and specifications
• Dealing with any special orders, complaints and enquiries where appropriate
• Assist as directed by management with the recording of business performance figures.
• Cash up in accordance with company procedures and policies, always with employees and customer safety as the uppermost priority
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures and guidelines
• Reporting discrepancies and problems to the supervisor.
• Assist with implementing shop merchandising and layout so as to maximise sales, customer satisfaction, appearance.
• Ensure high levels of merchandising by;
• Maintaining clean and bright displays.
• Keeping shelves well stocked and tidy
• Clearly and accurately ticketing stock.
• Ensuring the store is clean and tidy by carrying out housekeeping duties including dusting, sweeping and clearing rubbish as directed.
• Ensure high levels of product knowledge by reading up on products, attending courses
• Be involved in stock control and management.
• Assist with carrying out stock takes as directed.
• Assist as directed in receiving and sorting stock deliveries ensuring that all relevant paperwork is completed correctly.
• Ensure that at all times you take care of your health and safety
• Ensure security procedures are followed according to Company and Centre Management Policy.
• Responsible for security within the store and being on the lookout for shoplifters and fraudulent credit cards etc.
• Act as a key holder and ensure that the store is opened and locked up according to Company security procedures.
• Carry out from time to time and as directed, any other duties as required in addition to the above that will be both reasonable and within your capabilities

Minimum requirements:
• Matric
• High level computer literacy
• 2 Years’ experience of working in a customer facing/service environment.
• Experience of working in a retail environment, for a premium brand.

Salary on offer: R 6 500 – R 7 500 p/m
