Retail Store Manager (Paints / coatings)

Educational Requirements:
Matric (Must have)

Experience Requirements:
At least 3 - 4 Years retail experience in management position
MUST HAVE experience in sales of paint / coatings
Able to meet targets
Good with numbers, budgets and admin
Computer literate in Microsoft Office, POS etc.
Well-spoken and well presented
Own Transport

Responsibilities:
Daily running of the store encompassing all the activities required for such purpose
Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales and financial targets and any additional targets which may be set by the company from time to time
Develop sales action plans relating to product, brand, geographic area and sales channel in order to ensure that set targets are achieved and exceeded
Proactively identify changes in the paint industry and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly
Researching and reporting on competitor trends
Identify new sales opportunities and increase the number and depth of active accounts
Generate new business and rejuvenate lost business, through referrals etc.
Telephonically market products
Driving turnover to ensure achievement of targets (sales, turnover and NP)
Ensure that the maximum number of product lines are sold
Ensure that the sales revenue is reconciled and banked
Upsell and cross sell products to maximize revenue
Assisting in proposals and execution of promotions
Develop a high-performance culture
Controlling expenses in line with the budget
Attending to customer queries promptly and efficiently
Ownership of all customer problems and complaints, ensuring that they are effectively and efficiently handled and closed-off
Effectively manage & control stock
Store housekeeping
Executing in-store merchandise strategy and standards
Ensuring good customer service and satisfaction is provided
Able to use tinting machine if required
Responsible for store performance and targets
Responsible for ensuring any issues are identified & resolved effectively
Generating monthly / weekly reports
Follow company policies & procedures
Meeting deadlines

Additional info:
Salary R13 000 – R15 000 gross per month + performance-based comm.
Working hours: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm, Saturdays 8am – 12pm
Must be willing to work weekends
Start date January 2019
