Leading Bus Company requires a temporary Fare Collection Manager for period of 3months within its Finance department.

Successful candidate will be responsible to ensure the optimal functioning of all fare and media revenue collection in accordance with an established work-plan so that all accounting information are correctly captured, balanced, reconciled and reported on as required.

REQUIREMENTS:-
• Candidate must have completed BCom qualification or equivalent
• Atleast over 3years relevant experience within face collections environment

Overall Responsibilities:-

Cash Management
• Ensure reconciliations between cash, revenue and fare media are performed daily
• Prepare cash allocation information for processing and clearing bank suspense accounts
• Review controls around cash handling and advise management
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders on cash matters

Media Revenue Management
• Ensure that all media revenue are correctly captured and reconciled
• Ensure that all revenue are timeously received and within the company’s prescribe revenue collection policies
• Engage with stakeholders to assist with new strategies to
• improve and sustain revenue.
• Consolidate all media revenue information and report any
• variances to the Deputy Director: Revenue

Reporting
• Consolidate all fare and media revenue collection information
• and submit daily reports to management
• Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports on all fare and media revenue
• Provide inputs to the budget (revenue) and sales.

Stakeholder Management
• Engage with all stakeholders and share common understanding of the strategic financial intend of the BRT system
• Consolidate all monthly report received from stakeholders and distribute to management.
• Identify any risks associated with specific stakeholders and develop mitigation plans to reduce risks to the company

Financial Management and Budgets
• Provide inputs to the budget process
• Ensure that all stakeholders adhere to the MFMA
• requirements and conditions
• Update the SOP’s and policies as and when required.

Human Resource
• Assist Accountant: Media & Repot Management, Cash Control Officer, and Vending Machine Officer with their tasks
• Monitor performance of staff and recommend any improvements
