A reputable company in the Aggregates and Gypsum Industry has a Rigger Position available at the Potchefstroom operations, based in North West Province.

Experience
• At least three years’ experience in terms of performing the functions and responsibilities of a Rigger.
Level of education / qualification
• Matric qualification or equivalent NQF qualification
• Section 26 Trade Qualification in Rigging

Responsibilities

• Give direction to workers engaged in lifting and moving loads, to ensure safety of workers and materials
• Ensure that the weights of the loads are known before hoisting.
• Effectively evaluate the hoisting capabilities of the crane before lifting any loads
• Ensure that loads are accurately attached to rigging before any movement takes place
• Ensure full control on material movement
• Coordinate and ensure that all tasks are safely completed on time.
• Ensure full compliance to the health and safety regulations
• Perform preventative maintenance on the crane to ensure it performs efficiently.
• Adhere to the company policies and procedures
