Purpose of the position
Performs statistical concepts pertaining to a wide range of tasks/functionaries such as finance, risks, and general analytics to facilitate critical business decisions for sustainability, business continuity, risk appetite, competitiveness, efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Performance Areas: -
1. Financial Analysis
• This person will be required to discover, analyse, profile and document findings on source data systems.
• The candidate will create and maintain data sets for the purpose of Data Mining and Predictive Analytics.
2. Risk Management Analysis
• Identifies and categorises risks and opportunities based on statistical analysis and best practices.
• Participates in risk treatment plans and actions to mitigate and control developing risks.
3. Executor Bond Analysis
• Designs and applies statistical principles and techniques for collecting data.
• Organises and interprets quantifiable data, and uses statistical methodologies to produce statistical reports/motivation and analyses for AIIF and other purposes.
• Ensures greater efficiency and solving of organizational problems through statistical modelling
• Promotes and embeds decision analysis and the culture of analytical thinking to the business.
• Filters and analyzes large amounts of data promptly and easily.
• Presents data and results visually so they are easier to understand and have more impact.
• Boosts the Risk function’s value and credibility as a strategic partner to the business.
4. Reporting
• Develops and provides forward-looking strategic insights and reports for different AIIF functions, not just backward-looking risk reporting.
• Presents data and results visually through sound reports so that they are easier to understand, interpret determine business impact for decision makers.
• Provides statistically measurable data conducive to aggregation and timeously communicates reports to relevant Senior Managers and Board Members.
