Our client in the Plastics Industry based in Pretoria is looking for a Robot Technician.


Purpose of the position
To setup, correct, adjust, convert and optimise all robotics on injection moulding machines.

Basic requirements
Mechatronic qualification advantageous.
Matric.
Electric/electronics min N3.
Mechanical min N3.
A good understanding of pneumatics.
Servo motors, servo drives and PLC experience.
Key performance areas
Reduction of scrap and set-up time on all robots as well as optimisation of all robots.

Responsibilities
Will be working on robotic systems.
Fault finding and repair of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical equipment.
Do conversions on robots from one product to another.
Adjusting PLC programs to optimal performance.
Servicing of robot systems.
From time to time do as requested by the Supervisor.

General
Be available to serve on all committees – safety, works, and equity.
To be punctual and exemplary.
Must have own transport.
Must be willing to work overtime from time to time.
Must be willing to do stand by.
