Overall responsibilities of the role:

The position requires the candidate to carry out all the duties and responsibilities as an auditor and accountant and for the Employer and to enable the Employer to render auditing and accounting services to its clients.

Key tasks involved:

This will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Audit engagements with a strong focus on deadlines
Ensure audit engagement files are in compliance with international standards on auditing
Ensure execution of the following audit requirements for each client: Planning of audit, Fieldwork, Review of audit, Finalisation of audit
Develop, train and coach Trainee Accountants
Timeous review and feedback of PSR/TSR/ANA’s for Trainee Accountants
Review and monitor budgets versus actual
Prepare audit department budgets and forecasts
Review billing schedules prepared by auditors
Review and monitor WIP

Passion for the auditing and accounting services industry
Strong nurturing and teambuilding qualities

Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Diligent, neat, accurate, organised and demonstrates initiative
People person with excellent communication skills
Fully computer literate and advanced auditing and accounting software experience

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Own reliable transport to travel to clients
Must want to stay in the profession – very important

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
SAICA articles completed
Minimum BCompt or equivalent

SKILLS:
Strong technical and analytical skills
Good clear communication skills
Task orientated/deadline driven
Exceptional attention to detail
Proficient in Caseware
