ACCOUNT MANAGER – BOTANICAL EXTRACTS

You will be responsible for the marketing and sales of the Botanical extracts for our Botanical division. You need a sound knowledge and background in botanicals study and chemistry and a keen eye for detail.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

MSc/B.Sc. - Botanical background or specialty would definitely be advantageous.
Marketing and Sales background imperative.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritizing of workload with attention to detail.
Computer literate with good numeracy skills.
A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning.
Self-motivated with a willingness to accept responsibility and challenges.
Own reliable transport.


KEY RESPONSIBILITY & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Manage client service levels within the Botanical Sales and Marketing sub-division.
Implement relationship management.
Keep clients up to date regarding development progress and order processing; communicate any delays.
Monitor customer complaints submitted to the quality department.
Oversee optimal client service from all internal departments.
Provide after-sales service to clients.
Regular communication with local and international clients on a daily basis.
Conduct market research on a regular basis to understand who the major role players are, what the market trends are etc.
Identify potential clients and execute client assessments in order to determine the value in terms of volume, sales value and profit margins.
Develop; design and compile marketing material like product leaflets, banners, presentations and newsletters.
Organize and attend local and international exhibitions and promote products by means of technical marketing.
Approach clients by marketing product concepts (Food & Beverage).
Manage botanical department related projects - Involvement and co-ordination in development of new products and negotiation.
New formulations and improvement on existing formulations to customer needs.
Submit new product development briefs to the R&D department for development.
Cost new developments and submit quotations to clients.
Provide assistance to the R&D department by liaising with clients regarding their requirements.
Oversee order processing and execution within the Botanical Sales and Marketing department.
Assist buyer with sourcing raw material and packaging components based on client requirements.
Manage agreements/contracts, prices, order quantities, batch sizes, delivery terms and payment terms.
