MARKETING MANAGER

Broad Valley Wines, situated in the picturesque Hemel and Aarde Valley, has recently acquired an additional farm with excellent terroir to extend the production of wine grapes with an additional 80 ha. This will enable the company to expand its production of high-quality wines to approximately 400 000 bottles per annum.

The company requires the services of a dynamic Sales and Marketing Manager to take responsibility for the sales and marketing function in order to establish the business as a leader in the market.

Responsibilities:

• develop and implement a marketing and sales strategy / plan
• networking, sales and after-sales (key account management)
• company website, social media and online sales
• ongoing market research and brand development
• cost analysis and budgeting
• administration and reporting
• attend industry events, wine shows and tasting
• expanding and growing markets

Requirements:

• an appropriate marketing qualification
• excellent knowledge of wine
• at least 5 years’ experience in wine sales and marketing
• self-motivated and ability to work independently
• strong business acumen and ability to negotiate and close transactions
• excellent interpersonal and networking skills
• willing and able to travel

A market related remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate. The successful applicant will be based in the Western Cape.
