A Sales Consultant position for the ER Training & Development Centre is available at the ER Group Head Office in Bryanston, Johannesburg. To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and bring to the position outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks & people simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Key Functions
• Promote and sell (to the conclusion of sales process) the ER T &D Centre courses and services with the aim of maximizing growth and profitable
• Gain a clear understanding of students requirements in order to sell them on Club ER membership and/or ER T & DC courses
• Increase student numbers/volumes through sales – booking process to be followed
• Make calls to existing & prospective database of students and generation of leads and new business
• Maintaining & developing relationships with existing and prospective ER T & DC students and Club ER members (Relationship building)
• Gathering market and customer information
• Responding to incoming email and telephone queries
• Reviewing own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
• Representing the ER Training & Development Centre at exhibitions, student presentations, events and the like
• Updating of the course and student calendar and records

Summary of Tasks:
Data Base Management
• Ensure that the centralized data base is updated and corrected on a daily basis. (All information on the data base must be accurate) This is a highly confidential document and NO part of the data base can be given to anyone without prior authorization
• Ensure that course details are updated as and when courses are completed
• Ensure that when communicating with contacts from the data base, confirmation is received that all details are correct
• Ensure that the scheduling section of the data base is updated to include new doctors, resignations and peer reviews.

Training Course Bookings
• Ensure the course calendar is checked for available courses
• Ensure that prospective students are being contacted by telephone for the courses - from the supplied data base – calls are to monitored (inclusive of Club ER Students).
• Ensure that the database is updated according to the students yearly status (final year student to Intern 1 to Intern 2 to community service doctors)
• Ensure that all information had been filled in as per the required fields on the registration form
• Ensure that targets are being met on a daily and weekly basis
• Ensure that once the student has completed and passed their courses, the information must be updated on the data base
• Ensure the tracker document is updated daily and sent through to the Marketing Director on a weekly basis
• Ensure that prospective students are being contacted by telephone and the calls are being monitored
• Ensure that the data base is updated according to the students yearly status (final year student to Intern1 to intern 2 to community service doctors)
• Constantly strive to develop sales through leads
