Main Purpose
To execute the Regional Operating plan as defined in the Sales & Distribution Strategy. Drive growth initiatives at a merchant level within a geographical region, ensuring best practices within our merchant/retail partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

? Seeks profitable acquiring & issuing merchants to grow the company merchant network
? Deliver new account and turnover targets as per budget
? Quality accounts opened in line with risk indicators
? Coordinate and implement account incentives and promotions
? Branding of merchants to optimize promotional space and company exposure
? Effective utilization of POS and distribution thereof
? Execute roll out of incentives/promotions and new sign-ons to key and major accounts
? Roll out to Co-branded partners, as per the Account Manager’s brief
? Ensure brand positioning within the area
? Reporting to retail and internal partners
? Analyses and interrogates sales reports with merchant management to identify performance opportunities and develops a store improvement plan with rigorous management
? Daily field visitation to retail partners within area
? Executes the channel brief & company marketing collateral within our retail partners and merchants
? Implement effective route planning and time management plan within area
? Promotional planner and execution of Key accounts manager’s plans
? Effective promotional plan within area
? Adhere to company policies and procedures

Requirements

? Must have a Senior Certificate – Grade 12. A degree or diploma in Business management will be an advantage
? Must have at least 2 years’ experience in sales and servicing of the SME sector
? Understanding of the consumer lending business
? Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
? Strong communication (both verbal and written) and customer service skills
? Excellent presentation skills
? Must be comfortable prospecting, generating proposals and closing the deal
? Ability to work in a highly competitive and dynamic environment
? Attention to detail
? Computer literacy; must be efficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
? A valid driver’s license is essential

Travel
As a member of the Sales Management team, the sales consultant is required to travel in a company provided car for business activities.
