Job Description:
The main purpose of the role is to engage with customers to generate accurate and complete product/service applications.

To be successful, it’s imperative for the role holder to engage and develop relationships with union representatives, human resources and other relevant stakeholders. This will involve presentations at meetings, workshops and events.

The role holder needs to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the product and the differentiating factors.

Duties Required:
Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge. This would follow training and evaluation.
Carry out effective presentations to stakeholders where required including; Unions, Employers being Municipalities and Companies, and Provident/Pension Funds.
Signing of Fund, Union and Payroll agreements.
Presentations to members once undertakings have been signed.
Convert leads by ensuring that appointments with new prospects are scheduled timeously and adhered to and that contacts are converted to sales.
Manage and develop a pipeline of new prospects and potential clients for re-advances and top ups.
Generate new product/service applications from members of retirement funds which have signed as clients to Abacus Financial Services;
Plan and execute daily, weekly and monthly tasks regularly and timeously;
Execute travelling to client locations when requires as per Company policy;
Facilitate accurate and timeous submission of applications
Maintaining professional conduct and good client relations at all levels;
Facilitate the resolution of queries within stated time frames;
Meet and surpass set targets and adhere to agreed deadlines;
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws as well as the company policies and procedures;
Perform relevant daily administrative duties diligently and adequately and keep of log of activity for reporting purposes.
Provide timeous feedback to senior management on any relevant issues that need to be escalated. This includes, identifying opportunities to enhance existing products and develop new products.

Education and Experience
Matric
3 years’ prior sales experience in financial services (ideally loans or insurance)
Additional evidence of sales training and development would be advantageous
