Our client in the Tyre (Automotive) industry is looking for a Sales Consultant.
JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Develop and support Company fleet sales in new and retread tyres

2. Liaises and works with Technical Services Group (TSG) to co-ordinate activities at dealer level

3. Develops new distribution channels where necessary

4. Trains participating Company dealers and their personnel in Products, programs, Services and information

5. Assists Dealers with:

Analysing the market and dealership
Developing and prioritising business objectives
Securing required resources
Securing new business
Attrition Control (Loss of customers)
GAP / SWOT Analysis
Selling and supporting all new Company initiatives
Fleet Selling process
Product launch training
Market knowledge & communication to HO
Failed Tyre Analysis-Scrap
Dealer incentive programs
6. Functions as a contributing member of the Company Market Team to co-ordinate activities as dealer level: The Company Team includes:

Dealer Development Manager
National Sales Manager
National Fleet Manager
Fleet Sales Managers
District Sales Managers
Technical Services Manager
Plant Manager
Financial Manager
7. Continually map the sales and delivery cycle times to the benefit of increased customer service

8. Makes joint commercial account calls with dealer and his sales people.

9. Assists in hiring process to get dealers to add sales people

10. Prepares and makes clear effective presentations using current communications systems and tools to demonstrates detailed knowledge of Company’s retreading process and knows how to work within the organisation to get necessary help to develop dealers’ business

11. Collects data and analyses market to determine where new distribution is needed

12. Explains the need for data and trains dealer personnel to use this information to strengthen their market position

13. Understands the customer’s business and identifies opportunities and ways to help them improve their business before the customer asks for it

14. Collects and measures results used to evaluate performance

15. Responsible for managing resources in regards to Dealer support by the Company

16. Understands Company’s Guiding Principles and Cultural Practices, modelling those in contracts with all stakeholder, employees, dealer personnel end users

17. Looks for opportunities to improve behaviours to reflect the Guiding Principles and Culture in day-to-day interactions.

18. Provides feedback to the organisation on how dealer and end user personnel view Company’s commitment to the Guiding Principles and Cultural Practices.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To improve Company and dealer sales and capabilities through the development and implementation, by the dealer of all the Value Added services the Company has to offer.

MAJOR TASK HEADING (KPI’s)

Works with Dealers offering and deciding on the necessary support
Liaises with manufacturing plant in the respective territory
Teaches and trains all dealership personnel
Assists dealers to increase sales volumes at end-user level
Co-ordinates activities at dealer
Assists in restructuring to handle consolidation of dealers in future
Communicates consistently the Company’s programs, policies, etc. to dealers
Communicates back to Company
PLANNING NECESSARY IN THE JOB

Regular planning needs to be done. Dealers to be visited on an ongoing basis.
DEADLINES IN THE JOB

Regular reporting on activities
ADVERSE WORKING CONDITIONS

Travelling, both local and international.
Some weekend work should be expected
Minimum requirements:

Matric
Relevant tertiary qualification
Proven Sales track record (Tyre / Retreading)
Valid Driver's License and own reliable transport
Valid Passport
Training in all programs will be provided
Remuneration

Market related CTC Salary (Including Medical Aid, Provident Fund and Travel Allowance)
No commission is offered
