• Accredited four (4) year degree in a Mining or Engineering discipline or Bachelor’s degree in Sales
• 10 – 15 years* of work-related experience Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, co-workers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• 10 years of Global EPCM experience or equivalent;
• Be commercial astute and have a working knowledge of EPCM Contracts;
• Business acumen and deep understanding of the African Mining environment and specifically major contacts with the major client organisations
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage key accounts and the implementation of the account management process across various business groups or industry lines for implementation
• Actively promote cross-group interface support and positioning – “CLIENT”
• Lead a Global Industry Focus Team (GIFT) or Sales Operations and Technology (SOT) team in the development and implementation of new business development strategies, building of capability, or positioning to capitalize on changes in market conditions
• Maintain adherence to Business Development & Strategy (BD&S) Group direction, Commercial Strategy Group and CLEINT Corporate approval matrix and Business Unit approval matrix
• Consult and align with CLIENT Corporate functions such as treasury, tax, legal, and risk throughout the sales pursuit
• Responsible to use and drive implementation and educate sales coordinators and sales leads on all “must have” sales requirements
• Provide business development leadership to the region that is complementary and supports the business lines overall strategy;
• Maintain contact with prospective clients through sales visits, calls and other means to ensure that the company is aware of and considered for planned project work
• Assure that market analysis and competitor and client intelligence processes are effective;
• Assure that the Company is properly represented at all relevant industry and trade shows
• Focus on the customers and projects that are most likely to proceed through to execution and therefore deliver the biggest potential impact on the Company bottom line;
• Manages all aspects of the sales process, including the preparation of expressions of interest, technical and commercial proposals, strategy to win sessions and negotiating and closing profitable deals;
• Be responsible for establishing and meeting annual sales targets while ensuring that the company is strategically positioned for future opportunities.
