Our Johannesburg branch in Randburg is seeking an experienced and target driven Sales Engineer to increase market penetration nationally and internationally.

This position would best suit a candidate with Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering background with technical skills and sales ability.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Product:
-Apply sound Engineering principles and Product Knowledge to prepare application proposals
-Product support to Group due to specialised product knowledge
-Presentation on Products and their application / design solution to prospective clients
-Provide Technical Training on Products
-Quotations for product and services

Application:
-Product application and system design – correct products for applications
-Preparations of proposed Design concept documentation and costings
-Preparation of Functional Specifications on behalf of project team

Sales:
-Support and develop Product Sales Market
-New business development and expand existing products and services
-Liaison between Product Sales, Integration and Engineering business units. Feedback on all visits, including pointing out issues and highlighting opportunities
-Stay abreast on industry news, industry trends, competitor activities, emerging technologies and latest product line developments
-Continuously develop strategies in order to build and maintain key account customer relationships and promote continued business and increase client satisfaction and identify opportunities

Minimum requirements:
-NQF level 7 or equivalent qualification – Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering Degree
-Engineering and Business Development background
-Experience and exposure in the automation industry
-Experience in sales of technical or industrial automation related products
-Financial background – understanding budgets, forecasting and margins
-Previous experience in a similar position
