The purpose of this role is to strengthen & grow our client's position as the market leader of Mining products in South Africa, Africa and Globally and to be responsible for maintenance & growth (including business plan) for certain geographical territories as well as optimizing product assortment and its profitability as well as driving & participating in R&D projects for the Mining Sector.

Constant customer interaction - phone calls, emails, visits, presentations, entertainment, sales trips to prompt customers for business (offering current products + new technology/products and knowing their business), job feedback, etc and therefore must be prepared to travel regularly throughout the year (80-100 days pa).

Responsibilities will include managing customer enquiries; prepare quote from customer enquiry, check & approve quote, PO review an acceptance, sales order admin, invoice generation etc.

The successful candidate should have a University degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field and solid experience in sales and marketing with knowledge in areas related to mining, civil engineering, exploration or other drilling applications being a definite asset. 

The position and its industry & region require total bilingualism in English & Afrikaans.
