Sales Engineer

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Regional Business Growth in South Africa

2.0 REPORTING TO:

Project Development Manager

3.0 KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Business growth focused on equipment, Greenfield and Brownfield project services
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities
· Compile competitive tenders in conjunction with the companies pricing and growth strategy
· Initiate contract / procurement negotiations
· Prepare area budgets
· Assist in the preparation of press releases ,market tracking & sales forecasts
- Attend conferences and Marketing events
· Plan and manage the company’s presence in exhibitions and conferences
· Assist and guide the Project team in commercial & technical interpretation
· Build client relationships that will be beneficial to the Company
- Qualify Clients and Leads on a high level in conjunction with the PD Manager
- Develop and Maintain Strategic customer relationships (New and Existing)
- Track and log progress using the Salesforce CRM System

3.1 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

· A B.Eng /B Tech/National Diploma in Engineering or Equivalent
· Minimum experience of 10 years within the minerals industry
· Experience in Sales and Process Engineering.
· Understanding of process design
·MS Office knowledge
- Knowledge of the Coal, PGM, Non Ferrous Metal Industry
- Cold Calling
