Role Description 
A leading global asset manager solutions provider is looking for a dynamic, experienced Sales Manager to cover the Africa region. This person will have responsibility for marketing and selling the organisations own branded software and services to mining and mining related companies in Africa. The candidate will ideally have enterprise software sales experience, preferably with experience in the asset space and/or mining industry.

Sales 

• Pursue new Mining customers to achieve sales of  software and services
• Maintain a pipeline of sales opportunities within Africa
• Develop detailed proposals and Scopes of Work (SOW’s) for presentation to customers as required 
• Present software to prospective clients
• Execute sales plans 
• Provide quality in the delivery of products and services

Marketing

• Maintain a database of current and potential Mining customers 
• Execute marketing campaigns as required to generate leads in Africa
• Attend events and functions as required to generate leads in Africa

Successful candidates…: 

• Would have more than 5 years of large ERP sales experience 
• The average value of sales would exceed ZAR 1,000,000 per sale 
• Would be competent in solution selling  
• Would have experience of selling into industrial companies (Mining, construction, manufacturing, industrial services etc.) at C-Level or Senior Exec. Level 
• Would have experience selling technical software such ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)/eAM (Enterprise Asset Management)  
• Would most likely have started as a technical product manager, sales engineer, product representative or account manager.

Time Requirements

• Will require after hours and occasional weekends work
• Will require travel outside of normal business hours

Travel Requirements

• Approximately 40% of time travelling 
• Both domestic and International Travel within Africa
