JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for generating sales, managing the sales process and developing client relationships. Will operate across a defined territory and will carry a sales quota to be delivered on annually.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Ensure that a professional business enablement (pre sales) department responds/delivers the appropriate business cases/RFP’s/proposals etc
•Ensure delivery of sales targets for the business unit
•Initiate/develop business development solutions for the various markets/segments
•Assist in developing a business model for new products and services and other initiatives in existing and other industries
•Leading the technical and sales process in closing deals
•Proactive engagement with clients and the market with a view to growing awareness and visibility of company products and capabilities
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
•Strong understanding of and exposure to the banking industry, financial services industry and any other associated industry
•Proven sales track record and ability in selling financial systems, specialising in solutions selling
•Preferred solid technical skills in core banking systems, retail banking products and processes, payment solutions and South African National Payment System
•POS/ banking industry background
•Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle
•At least 10 years’ experience in a similar position (negotiable)
•Proven leadership and communication skills
•An options thinker
•Ability to identify an opportunity and then conceptualize and articulate a financial system solution
•Matric
•Own Car Essential
