A well know 3* hotel located in Hazyview Mpumalanga is looking for a sales executive. This is a senior position in the Hotel that reports directly to the General Manager and the Director of Strategy. Requirements:Grade 12At least 2 years sales experienceValid driver's license is essentialAbility, desire and passion to sellExcellent communication skillsHigh degree of self-motivation and ambitionSkills to work both independently and as part of a TEAMAbility to flourish in a competitive environmentTime management and prioritization: Good time management, planning and follow-up skills, as well as the ability to meet deadlinesStrong technical skills: Must be comfortable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)Responsibilities:Develop and maintain a database of commercial, retail, travel and organizational contracts so as to ensure maximum sales.Undertake to predetermined levels, direct telesales and sales calls (face to face) to potential and established clients in the area.(Allocation of clients / areas will change from time to time as per Company’s requirements).Achieve the sales targets as set by the Director of Strategy.Devise and produce a working sales business plan, produce and submit required daily, weekly, monthly reports.Attend travel functions, e.g. fairs, trade shows, exhibitions and events in a participative or observer status. Attend all sales conferences, and any other meeting which will provide input as requested by the companyParticipate in educational to hotels for commercial or travel trade contracts as required.Maintain daily contact with GM, reservations and banqueting in order to develop working relationship and to have a constant awareness of trends within the hotel.Transmit all leads for business outside of your allocated area to the Director of Strategy in that area without delay.Advise other regions via the Director of Strategy of any relevant information pertaining to the hotel.Ensure good product knowledge of all properties in the extrabold group.
