Job Summary

A progressive freight company part of the Bidvest Group is currently looking for a Sales Executive, the successful incumbent must meet the below criteria;

Essential Requirements:

Matric Certificate/Grade 12
Formal qualification in Sales or Marketing related field will be highly advantageous
Minimum of 3 years’ direct sales experience
Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a clearing and forwarding or warehousing environment
Strong communication and negotiating skills
Excellent English written and verbal skills
Strong presentation skills
Self-starter and able to work independently
Analytical and problem solving skills
High attention to detail
Previous cold calling and proven track record
Proficient on Microsoft Business Suite
Deadline and goal driven
Driver’s license and own transport
Flexible with regards to working hours
Main Job Tasks:

Promote the Company’s products and services
Acquire new business, identify leads and manage prospects
Meet or exceed new business sales goals
Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and follow up
Report on market behavior/competition and any threats to/opportunities for the Company
Compile weekly sales report as well as weekly call plan
Attend weekly meeting with the manager to discuss sales activities/goals and status of prospects
Meet deadlines and adhere to monthly budget? Attend to ad hoc requests as and when required
