SALES FLOOR MANAGER

To optimise sales and customer experience through the effective management and co-ordination of the sales floor

Grade 12
Business / retail related tertiary qualification from recognised & relevant institution

3 years + retail management experience at departmental management level

Sound emotional intelligence (EQ)
People management, motivation and development skills
Co-ordination and organising skills
Retail management principles and selling skills
Communication / interpersonal / listening skills

To achieve and / or exceed branch budgeted sales targets 1. Effectively manage and coordinate the sales floor team
2. Optimise the presentation of the sales floor
3. Facilitate and promote an exceptional customer experience
4. Support contracts team / sales

To implement and manage the sales floor component of the branch people plan
1. Train, develop and mentor sales Advisors
2. Manage the performance (KPA's) of sales Advisors
3. Motivate, encourage and support sales Advisors
4. Faciliate a culture of performance and excellent customer service amongst sales Advisors
5. Communicate budgeted targets, branch objectives and results to sales Advisors
To ensure compliance with company policies, Standard Operating procedures (SOP's) and housekeeping standards applicable to sales floor / sales activities
1. Ensure compliance to all company policies, procedures and regulations on sales floor
2. Ensure compliance to company standard operating procedures (SOP's) applicable to sales floor / activities
3. Ensure housekeeping standards and professional image of sales floor are maintained
4. Ensure sales floor displays are maintained at the agreed standards at all times
To effectively participate in daily branch operational realities and requirements
1. Assist elsewhere within branch as operationally required without compromising management of sales floor
2. Assist BM with perpetual and scheduled stock takes / counts as required
3. Provide BM / ROM with feedback and recommendations regarding continuous sales floor improvements
