Description: A dynamic Manufacturing company in the South African Laboratory market requires Sales Manager. Key responsibilities will include: Directing the actual distribution or movement of a product or service to the customer. Coordination of sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals and establishing training programs for sales representatives. Analyzing sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and monitoring the preferences of customers. Managing sales of the company’s products and services within a defined geographic area, province or country. Ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel. Identifying objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings. Resolving customer complaints with regards to sales and services. Directing, coordinating, and reviewing activities in sales and service accounting and recordkeeping, and in receiving and shipping operations. Representing the company at trade association meetings to promote products. Planning and directing staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and service programs. Overseeing regional and local sales representatives.

Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business Administration, Statistics or Mathematics or a minimum of five years relevant experience in the laboratory or manufacturing sector. Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information. Proven ability to motivate and lead the sales team. Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies. Excellent oral and written communication skills, plus a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM is required. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. A valid driver’s license.

Additional Requirements: Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their application. Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes sales strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
