Responsibilities:
Ensuring that the sales people in the team achieve not only their budgets but also the K.P.I ‘S as determined by the General Manager
Gross profit budgets
Correct product mix
New business development
Debtors management
Train, Motivate and Manage all aspects of the sales team in terms of effectiveness and efficiency
Be the go-between other H.O.D’s and the sales team
Manage the performance of the sales team by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees (if necessary); planning, monitoring, and strategizing in accordance with results. Regular performance appraisals to be done with staff
Draw up monthly sales budget with the General Manager of the Branch
Be an ambassador of the company towards its customers
Participate in projects to generate revenue for the business
Serve as a leader and inspiration to the sales team

Requirements:
Matric
A Sales related tertiary qualification
Computer literate with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and Great Plains
Valid driver’s license
Competence in financial management
Understanding of the supply chain from buying, selling to distribution
