RS Recruitment is assisting a MARKETING COMPANY to recruit an SALES/MARKETING CONSULTANT to be based at their head office in Westmead, Durban.

Purpose of the position: The role of this position is to seek out new business and sell our products to potential clients and grow our portfolio of clients at an aggressive rate. A results driven candidate to actively seek out and engage new customer prospects and maintain existing ones. The successful candidate will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer and in doing so, boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability. Our company can oversee an entire marketing campaign. From design, to copywriting, to placement of adverts, and everything in between. But we also do web design, graphic design, videography, radio and T.V advertising, etc.

Applicants should ideally be/have the following:
• Matric certificate.
• Tertiary education in a marketing/media discipline will be a distinct advantage.
• At least 4+ years successful sales experience in the media/marketing and advertising industries.
• Must have clear and litigate references.
• Must have impeccable telephonic and email skills.
• Able to ‘cold call’ on potential customers and communicate at all levels.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Fully computer literate: MS Office Package – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic graphic design and CorelDraw – an advantage.
• Must be highly results orientated.
• Must be tenacious and energetic in his /her approach.

Responsibilities
• Generating leads – local, provincial, national and even international.
• Meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Negotiating all contracts with prospective clients.
• Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
• Preparing weekly and monthly reports. Maintaining client records.
• Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
• Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.
• Understanding and promoting company programs.
• Obtaining deposits and balance of payment from clients.
• Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.
• Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
• Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices and availability.
• A commitment to excellent customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Effective communication with customers, as well as strong follow-up skills

Remuneration:
Salary Structure: R16 000 basic plus 20% commission on all sales made.
