MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
PRODUCT MANAGER will be responsible for the product life cycle management within Product Category for Region / Country / Market
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Product life cycle management (Product strategy, Plan, Promotional Activity Plan, Plan Tracking & Plan Update)
- Profit Growth Management
- PSI & Retail Market Budgets Management
- Market intelligence / research
- Relationship management & alignment
- Manage Product Category Life Cycle and Support for Region / Country
- Develop Strategy & Yearly plan for Regional/Country Product Category / Budget, Expense Management / Product Selection, Channel Mix / Price / Promotions & Channel to market.
- Product Life Cycle Management
- Pricing Strategy
- Create Local Launch Plan for all new Product Launches
- Promotion Planning & Tracking (sell-out)
- Track Forecast Sell In / Sell trough / Sell out, Market / Channel Info and actions with Regional/Country KAM/KCM/Retail Team & Sales Leads / Market Support Team
- Manage Sales Efficiencies [sell-in / sell-through / sell-out] with Regional/Country KAM/KCM/Retail Team & Sales Leads / Market Support Team
- Liaise weekly/monthly/quarterly with Regional/Country KAM/KCM/Retail Team & Sales Leads / Market Support Team to address PSI & promotional activity & Retail Market Budgets
- Analyse all Sales data with Regional/Country KAM/KCM/Retail Team & Sales Leads / Market Support Team & suggest new strategies for product segment(s)
- Region / Country Market Sensing, analysis and requirements – strategy, channel to market, sales & profit, market & economic trends, benchmarking, competitor comparison and A.P.I measurements
- Maintain communication channels with all SCA Stakeholders & HQ GBMs
REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12/Matric – Essential
- A relevant Degree/ Diploma Marketing or Product Management
- Profit Growth Experience
- Sell-through & Sell-out Focused & Data based Sales
- Channel Innovation / local Africa market develop Product Management, Distribution Strategy & Best Practice Management
- Relevant product knowledge
- Systems and Sales Data (Market/Channel) Knowledge (SAP, Excel, other MS Office Packages)
- 5 years PRODUCT MANAGER & Product Launch experience in FMCG or Digital (Home) Appliances / TV/AV or Mobile Phone (Premium/Mass/Tablets etc.)
- 3-5 years PRODUCT MANAGER/Sales Africa experience within the Consumer Electronics Or Mobile Industry will be advantage.
- Sell-through & Sell-out Focused & Data based Sales / PRODUCT MANAGER / Profit Management Experience
- Channel & Retail Innovation / local market develop Product Management experience in East & West Africa Area
