SALES REPRESENTATIVE (POULTRY IND), HEKPOORT (BRITS), RNEG + BEN

DEGR / DIPL SALES & MARKETING + 5 YEARS EXP IN MEAT/POULTRY INDUSTRY AS SALES REPRESENTATIVE. MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL EXTENSIVELY. ABLE TO START IN JAN 2015.

• Educated to a certificate level or relevant qualification in Marketing, Sales or Business Administration.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing, preferably in the Meat Industry.
• Excellent customer service and selling skills, preferably in the Meat Industry.
• Excellent leadership and people skills.
• Above average communication and negotiation skills.
• Must be computer literate.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Conflict management.
• Ability to talk a local language over and above English.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.

Job Specification

• Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
• Ensure ongoing high customer satisfaction levels by monitoring rate of sales, returns, quality of product, correctness of orders, and maintain relationships by conducting periodic visits, exploring specific needs and anticipating new opportunities.
• Have in depth knowledge of competitors pricing policies and strategies.
• Follow up on new leads and referrals.
• Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
• Identify and resolve client concerns
• Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
• Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue, by cold-calling if necessary.
• Check inventory to ensure product is in stock.
• Re-establishes sales to former customer who are no longer buying.
• Understand and define customer needs – get to know their business.
• Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions.
• Coordinates sales effort with sales management, accounting, logistics and operational groups.
• Keep abreast of product applications, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical experts.
