Sales Representative (AA) – Johannesburg

Area: Isando, Kempton Park

Package: Package is between R15k – R19k plus company car, cell phone, laptop, 3G

Purpose of the position: Responsible for all retail sales activities, from lead generation through close, ensuring customer satisfaction of products and services. Secure new business. Maintain relationships with existing clients by continually providing technical support, updated product information and sales techniques.

Preference will be given to applicants that are servicing the formal and informal retail and wholesale markets

Key Performance Areas:
• source and qualify leads
• establish contact and develop client relationships and referrals
• maintain a customer database
• prepare and deliver presentations of company products and services to potential clients
• negotiate professional sales proposals with clients
• ensure timeous and accurate delivery of product in store
• conduct product training and offer technical assistance
• participate in sales and marketing events to create product awareness
• identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitor’s product development
• maintain activity reports for management
• Achieve monthly set budgets
• Adhering to numerical and weighted distribution requirements

Minimum skills and qualification:
• knowledge of relevant computer applications (MS Outlook, Word & Excel)
• knowledge of principles and practices of sales
• knowledge of customer service principles
• knowledge of basic business principles
• experience in sales
• experience in delivering presentations
• ability to achieve sales targets
• some experience in the building trade industry
• some experience in the retail Industry

Minimum qualifications and experience
• Matric
• Sales & Marketing Qualification – Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing
• At least 3-6 years sales experience
