Sales Representative Automotive - (Gauteng East)

A leading automotive components manufacturer is looking for a suitably experienced and qualified Sales Representative (Automotive) to join their team. The position is based in JHB and reports to the National Sales Manager.

Position Objectives -
The Sales Representative is responsible within the assigned region for the growth of the division’s brands and products in line with the division’s objectives.
This includes driving sales revenue by creating pull and push mechanisms for the brand through the entire supply channel.
The promotion of products directly and indirectly into the region, direct marketing activities, in store merchandising, point of sale and brand awareness in line with the brand guidelines and marketing plan.
Working to build strong long term relationships with current and new customers, owners, management, staff and key people for the region.

Main Tasks / Responsibilities -

The main tasks and responsibilities of a Sales Representative is to manage demand and supply of the respective brand through a network of wholesalers, retailers, workshops and fitment centres and to market the brand in the relevant channel in which the brand representative has been employed. This would include:

To achieve revenue and margin budgets of the Accessories portfolio in the Automotive channel
To accurately record and update the Customer Relationship Management System as well as regional sales and Trends.
To analyze customer purchases and create and implement effective sales strategies to support revenue
To fully understand the customer and channel dynamic and to work with this dynamic in creating long term relationships and brand support
To manage financial expenditure in line with revenue achievement
To represent the company at all market-related events and activities
To effectively communicate new products and solutions into the market and ensure customer buy-in
To liaise with Marketing and National Sales manager regarding product demand forecasting and supply.

Key Performance Indicators -

Achievement of the Regional and National revenue targets.
Regional Market Share and Market Growth.
Effective regional channel communications and measurement.
Achievement of Customer Service Index targets, including onsite support, promotional activities, customer complaints and compliments.


Formal Qualification & Experience -

Grade 12
Degree or Diploma in a Sales or Marketing field
Computer literacy
Proven track record in Accounts Management/Merchandising and/or,
Proven track record and ability in building and maintaining strong customer relationships

English

Starting salary - R25k to R35k CTC (depending on qualification and experience) +commission + laptop,3G + micro marketing expenses + fuel/toll expenses
