Sales and Merchandising Representative: FMCG

My client, a national sales and distribution business in Paarden Eiland is seeking an experienced Sales and Merchandising Representative.

Key Responsibilities:

To conduct sales and marketing activities to increase brand awareness, demand and distribution in the allocated area.
Meet predetermined sales budgets.
Ensure the correct standard of merchandising is executed correctly in all stores via Block merchandising / Cross merchandising / Format merchandising / Vertical merchandising etc.
Ensure the recommended pricing is in line with strategy and the relevant price labels are on shelf.
Correct Stock rotation – FIFO Principals – (First in First Out).
Maintaining adequate stock levels
Securing and maintaining contestable space or fair share of shelf.
Manage damages and returns.
Stock counts.

Requirements:

Completed Matric
3 – 5 years’ experience in the Sales & Merchandising environment from the FMCG industry.
Retail experience is essential
Pick n Pay ordering system knowledge
Computer literate (Outlook/MS Office)
The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong negotiation skills & business acumen.
Own reliable vehicle with a valid driver’s licence

Salary: R8000 - R10 000 basic salary + commission, fuel and cell phone allowance.
