JOB PURPOSE:
To maximise sales and market share through effectively implementing the company’s sales strategy and providing first line technical support.

FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS/ACTIVITES:
Sales:
• Maximising sales and growing market share by presenting and selling the company’s range of products, solutions and services.
• Ensuring that personal sales targets are met /exceeded.
• On-going canvassing for sales prospects and identification of new customers.
• Generating accurate quotations consistent with customer requirements.
• Speedy closure of deals.
• Ensuring customer needs are consistently understood and expectations met and managed.
• Ensuring compliance with pricing and discount structures.
• Working in conjunction with technical support/product specialists when appropriate.
• Attending all sales meetings and related training.
• Maintaining an up–to-date calendar.
• Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction & sound customer relationships.
• Maintaining demonstration equipment in safe and good order.
• Providing product demonstrations and assisting with marketing initiatives as required.
• Providing product training when appropriate.
2. Technical Support:
• Ensuring that the product or solution offered meets the customer’s requirement.
• Providing first line technical support and where necessary, facilitate advanced support from the Technical department.
3. Market analysis:
• Gathering and analyzing market information and preparing related reports.
4. Report generation:
• Generating reports per sales manager requirements.
• Preparing periodic reports on market developments and business / sales opportunities.
• Preparing and timeously submitting activity/call reports as required.
5. Customer Relations:
• Ensuring that the customer is consistently treated as “King”.
• Developing lasting customer relationships through interpreting and managing their requirements.
• Interacting continuously with customers to establish lasting customer relationships.
• Ensuring customers are effectively informed of existing products and new products ready to go to market.
• Ensuring that customer details are accurate and constantly updated on company sales data base.
• Ensuring that contracts between sales and customer are complete and fit for purpose.
6. Process Optimisation:
• Personally contribute to a culture of continuous improvement with regard to sales processes with the focus on customer value-add and efficiency.
• Ensuring that sales related documentation is accurate, correct and complete.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 12.
RELATED EXPERIENCE (YEARS) :
• Proven track record in sales.
• At least 5 years sales experience of which 2 years experience in the electronic security sector would be beneficial.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• BCom Sales/Marketing degree.

• Technically capable in respect of electronic security products.

• Credible and able to network at any level.

• Bilingual (English and Afrikaans) preferred.
