A vacancy exists for a Sales Representative. The positions will be suitable for a highly motivated and self-disciplined individual with experience as a Sales Representative in the Health Care and pharmaceutical Industries. The purpose of the position is to manage & maintain the relationship with key clients of the company as assigned

The successful candidate must have solid business acumen; consistently achieve individual, regional and divisional sales targets. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with allocated customers (Doctors, Pharmacies, Hospitals, Dentists and Veterinary institutions), successfully implement sales and marketing strategy to maximize sales potential in the respective area and respond adequately and professionally to customer complaints and queries. He or she must have excellent inter personal and communication skills as well as sound knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical products and service offerings. Territory KZN and one Pretoria visit (Office administration day)

• Acquire and maintain acceptable levels of product knowledge and knowledge of the market
• Maintain product and industry knowledge
• Maintain acceptable levels of market related and product knowledge, to ensure effective individual performance and of customers assistance
• Implementation of sales and marketing strategy
• Grow market share and revenue through existing customers and the development of new customers
• Prioritize goals in the sales territory based on customer and company needs, proactively plan comprehensive coverage of the territory based on needs assessment
• Comply with defined administrative responsibilities including but not limited to call logs, field activity reports, Market Action Plans, device vigilance, forecasting, quotations and complaint handling

Reporting structure

• He/she will report directly to the Sales & Marketing Manager

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (absolute minimum)
• Fully Bi-lingual
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical wholesale sector
• Sales and Marketing Diploma or equivalent,(marketing or commerce)advantageous
• 3-5 years in a similar role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
• Driver’s license (EB – Unrestricted)
