Tonnellerie Sylvain, a well-known international Cooperage, requires a Sales Representative based in the Western Cape winegrowing region to join their team.

Sales Representative

The successful candidate is confident, honest, dedicated and bilingual with the ability to communicate with people at all levels. Other prerequisites include at least 15 years’ experience in a similar sales position in the industry, computer literacy, a valid driver’s licence and own transport as well as willingness to travel. The successful candidate will have a BSc Agric (Viticulture and Oenology) degree or a similar qualification with experience of winemaking and proven sales experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: • presenting and selling company products and brands to current and potential clients • identifying sales prospects • managing account services • tasting wines and offering advice on the barrel-ageing process • participating in marketing events • coordinating shipping schedules and deliveries of merchandise • all other tasks associated with the position.
