Sales Representative
Area: Bloemfontein and to service customers in the Free State
Basic Gross Salary: R13 – R15k (based on experience)
Commission : 1% commission if 70% of the sales in corresponding month in previous year is achieved and 1.5% if the set bonus target is achieved.

After three month probation the candidate will become part of the provident fund and medical aid assistance program.


General Purpose
To plan and carry out all sales activities on assigned accounts or areas. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and managing quality of product and service delivery.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
• generate and qualify leads
• source and develop client referrals
• prepare sales action plans and strategies
• schedule sales activity
• develop and maintain a customer database
• make sales calls to new and existing clients
• prepare and deliver presentations of company products and services to current and potential clients
• negotiate with and present professional sales proposals to clients
• conduct product training
• plan and participate in sales and marketing events
• follow up on sales activity
• perform quality checks on product and service delivery
• maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports for management
• conduct market research and surveys
• monitor competitors, market conditions and product development
• Managing relationships with key accounts
• Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors product development
• Have full technical knowledge of all products and educate and train both clients and staff

Education and Experience
• Certificate or diploma in business or marketing
• knowledge of relevant computer applications (MS Outlook, Word & Excel)
• knowledge of principles and practices of sales
• knowledge of customer service principles
• knowledge of basic business principles
• experience in sales
• experience in making presentations
• proven ability to achieve sales targets
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in the Building Trade Industry
