Purpose of position:

Assisting in translating tactical and functional plans into operational activities as well as communicating the department’s strategic objectives to the sales support team.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Ensuring that the Department conforms to the company quality system procedures as documented
• Assisting in developing, selecting and evaluating sales support personnel.
• Co-ordinate the planning, organizing and implementing of sales programs nationally
• Co-ordinate and manage commissions
• Management of internal staff within the sales department
• Assisting in the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of this division
• Carring out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Managing the roll out of projects or big deals
• Creating, executing work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
• Identifying resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
• Reviewing deliverable s prepared by the team before passing to clients
• Effectively applying sales methodology and projects standards
• Minimizing exposure on projects/big deals
• Identifying business development and sales opportunities
• Effectively communicating relevant team and big deal information to superiors
• Continuously seeking opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
• Building a knowledge base of each client’s business, organization and objectives

Ensuring that customer related queries are effectively dealt with

Submitting weekly/monthly reports regarding sales, quotes, orders etc.

Experience and qualifications

Matric/Grade 12

Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales management essential

Knowledge regarding the IT Industry & products would be an advantage

Minimum of 3 years supervising of team an advantage

MS Office (Word & Excel) essential
