SAP Balance Sheet Bookkeeper (Contract)
Midrand
Our client a leading engineering concern seeks to appoint a Contract Accountant on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 7 months. Your relevant accounting qualification and minimum of 3 years full management accounting function is required. Knowledge of Inventory & Fixed Asset Register functions essential.
Requirements:
• Accounting Diploma or Degree.
• Minimum 5 years experience doing the full accounting management function.
• Previous experience with inter-company accounts.
• Experience with Fixed Asset Register.
• Experience with Inventory and Stock accounting processes.
Responsibilities
• The full Accounts Payable function;
o Local & international creditor reconciliations
o Non-stock creditor reconciliations
o Review and authorize payments
o Reconcile to general ledger account
o Ensure all matching and clearing is completed and the final age is as clean as possible
o Clearing of pass through and register accounts, making any adjustments required
o Prepare Age Analysis to GL and ensure it balances
o Ensure that all account remittances are sent out to suppliers
o Supplier payment forecasts
• Various Accounts Receivable functions;
o Clearing of age analysis - matching and integrity
o Release all OMR’s.
o Credit Holds.
• Manage of the Fixed Asset Register;
o Ensure all capex requisitions are on file, authorised and supporting documents attached
o Review accounts to ensure approvals on file
o Add location to the asset register
o Calculate and update Fixed Asset Register with depreciation
o Process depreciation journal on general ledger
o Update of the fixed asset register and ensure agree to the general ledger
o Disposed assets supported with evidence of cash receipts/
o Perform a asset verification and identify redundant and damaged PPE.
o Re-evaluation of residual value & useful life.
o Straight lining of leases
• Inventory Control
o Reconciliation of all Inventory Accounts.
o Attend to stock count.
o Perform a NRV test on stock.
o Prepare stock count workings and roll forward to year-end quantities.
o Standard cost valuation review.
• Processing of Inter-company accounts.
o Complete “Due To” Report.
o Complete Journal Entries.
o Inter company credit reconciliations.
o Reconciliation due for AP Trial Balance Accounts.
o Analyses of all related party transactions.
• Provisions
o Analyze all expenses monthly and identify any possible Invoices not yet received.
o Prepare list of Accruals and Reversals.
o Prepare warranty and Credit Note calculation.
o Reconciliation of all Accrual General Ledger Accounts.
o Perform liability test on operating expenses.
o VAT Reconciliations.
