Mandatory Requirements
• Minimum 3 years proven experience in reporting and / or analytics using SAP HANA, BW, BOBJ
• Bachelor’s level degree or appropriate business / technical qualification
• HANA Certification (SAP)

Brief overview of job functions
• Provide technical and functional SAP BI, HANA and BW expertise, thought leadership and innovation to ensure the optimal application of BI/ HANA functionality to meet the organisation requirements.
• Documentation of functional and technical specifications
• Design and implement business intelligence solutions making use of HANA technology.
• Provide knowledge transfer to fellow team members
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team lead
• Assist in the development of the BI strategy and roadmap for the organisation.

Key Accountabilities
• To provide solutions for complex business and system problems, where no precedent may exist
• Workshops with lead architects and business process experts
• Implement and support solutions on HANA across the different business departments.
• To provide knowledge transfer to other team members and support staff.

Knowledge and Skills
• Extensive experience in the application of SAP BW, Business Objects and HANA to meet real-world business needs.
• Good communication, documentation and collaboration skills.
• Good technical understanding of the SAP technology relevant to BOBJ, BW, HANA and the extraction and replication of data from SAP and non-SAP systems for reporting purposes.
• Good knowledge of technical factors that influence the performance of ETL processes and report generation and of how to take advantage of this in optimising performance.
• Ability to engage with business stakeholders, analyse problems, develop requirements and craft transformative solutions.
• Ability to produce innovative representation of information, especially in the geo-spatial representation of information
• Defining alternative proposals and analysing the benefits and constraints to promote a considered position.
• Researching issues and errors and resolving problems.
• Developing detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Unit, string, integration and business scenario testing of solutions.

• SAP Netweaver BW 7.4 technical skills
• SAP HANA technical skills
• SAP HANA Analytics skills
• Integration skills , eg. SAP HANA SDI
• Business Objects 4.1 Suite – including Dashboards, WEBI, Crystal reports, Live office and Voyager; Design Studio and Lumira
• SAP Netweaver BW 7.4 (Java) experience relating to SAP Enterprise Portal / BW integration
• Performance optimization for SAP Netweaver BW 7.4
• Ability to create and maintain complex custom BW developments and knowledge of query optimisation
• Ability to develop generic extractors and create custom cubes and deltas
• Experience with working with multi-providers
• BW experience across functional areas
• Knowledge of the HANA authorisations model
• Knowledge of BW authorisations and batch processes
• Experience in implementing BW together with a SAP portal for publishing BW queries will be an advantage
• Experience with BOBJ will be an advantage, as would experience in implementing BW together with a SAP portal for publishing BOBJ Dashboards, WEBI reporting and Crystal Reports
• Previous ABAP or SAP R/3 configuration experience is an advantage

Qualifications or Experience
