PBT Group, leaders in Business Intelligence, has a requirement for a BOBJ Developer to enable the SAP BW reporting strategy and for report development in BOBJ v4.1.
 
- The successful candidate must demonstrate a good understanding of the SAP BW reporting strategy and how it is being implemented.
- Timely delivery of accurate monthly business reporting
- Monitoring and checking of report quality and standards against agreed frameworks
- Successful implementation of enhancements and changes to reports
- Have a good understanding of the stakeholder’s business environment and reporting requirements
- Effective communication measured as follows:

DUTIES:
- Enabling and maintaining the end to end report cycle
- Schedule and track report batches
- Perform quality assurance checks of production reports
- Ensure that standard methodologies are implemented across all reports
- Involved in different phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) like requirements gathering, preparation of technical specification documents, designing and developing reports, unit testing and UAT.
- Enforce the change operating model
- Ensure rationalisation and standardisation strategies are implemented
- Build automated reports that are fit for purpose
- Facilitate all other aspects of report change and new development from functional specification to testing and obtaining sign-off
- Support: Address report related queries
- Manage the governance cycle and promote reports from DEV through UAT into PROD
Implement and maintain governance and processes in line with the CIB reporting strategy
 
 
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in either Information Science, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar
- Develop in-depth knowledge of SAP BW - its structure, fields and methodologies
- Strong knowledge of reporting standards and related controls
- Banking industry knowledge would be an advantage
- SAP R/3 and BW application knowledge in the business process area
- Knowledge of application software tools, including presentation, spreadsheet, and word processing
- An understanding of the source data (both SAP and non-SAP data)
- Detailed knowledge of the data required to be extracted
- Knowledge of the customer’s current business processes
- Knowledge of data quality issues, scheduling tools
- An understanding of multidimensional modelling
- An understanding of the differences between operational systems data modelling and DW data modelling
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Technical competency in data modelling
- Minimum 3 years in a similar reporting environment
- Minimum 2 years of BOBJ report development (BOBJ v4.1 experience will be very beneficial)
- Proven track record in report development and applying governance and standards
- SAP BOBJ v4.1 suite of products: Webi, Crystal Reports, CMC and Live Office
- Experience with data warehouse data analysis
- Experience with data extraction development
