Mandatory Requirements
• Minimum 5 years relevant SAP BW, experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in BW configuration role
• Proven experience in Design Studio

Brief overview of job functions
• The successful candidate’s primary focus will be to:
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations for all development requests
• Meet with the functional specialist to understand the business requirements
• Document this in the form of a Technical Specification for the implementation of requirements
• Configure and test the system as per business requirements
• Loading of data and resolving performance optimization

Key Accountabilities
• Responsible for application/subject matter level SAP/BI Software design, configuration and implementation, balancing Business requirements with the overall integrated SAP solution for the organization/
• Provides solutions for complex Business and System problems, where no precedent may exist
• Provides knowledge transfer of SAP/BI Software and related functionality to the organization ERP Team

Knowledge and Skills
• Netweaver BW 7.4 technical skills
• Hana studio development
• Business Objects XI 4.1 Suite – including Design Studio, Lumira and Webi
• Netweaver BW 7.4 (Java) experience relating to Portal / BW integration - BW format end tools, Iviews
• Portal performance optimization related to Netweaver BW 7.4
• Ability to create and maintain complex custom BW developments and knowledge of query optimisation
• Ability to develop generic extractors and create custom cubes and deltas
• Experience with working with multi-providers
• BW experience across functional modules
• Knowledge of BW authorisations and batch
• Experience in implementing BW together with a SAP portal for publishing BW queries will be an advantage
• Experience with BOBJ will be an advantage, as would experience in implementing BW together with a SAP portal for publishing BOBJ Dashboards WEBI reporting and Crystal Reports
• Previous ABAP or SAP R/3 configuration experience is an advantage

Qualifications or Experience
• Bachelor’s level degree or appropriate business / technical qualification
• SAP BW certification is beneficial
• 5 years’ experience in BW
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in BW configuration role.
• Involved in 2 BW implementations in the role of configurer.
• Hana studio development experience is essential
• Experience in Business Objects Design Studio and Lumira
• Required 5 years overall SAP experience.
