Mandatory Requirements

•Appropriate and recognised formal qualifications and / or comparable experience in the configuration and build of SAP solutions.
•Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a SAP MM functional consultant, writing specifications for standard and custom development in master and transactional data.
•Minimum of 1 full MM Implementation cycle
•Proven in-depth knowledge of MM module
•Proven extended experience in configuration within SAP MM module
•Proven experience with Integration of MM, PM, PS and FI/CO modules

Responsibilities

•SAP MM Principal Functional Contractor/Configurer
•Translating a SAP MM solution blueprint into functional specifications, delivering the ‘to-be’ business process implementation including test support, training development and training delivery.

Brief overview of job functions

•SAP professionals design, implement and deploy SAP solutions to achieve defined business goals.
•Facilitating functional specification workshops, translating the blueprint into functional specifications used to build the solution.
•Drawing up test scripts, executing testing and facilitating testing of the solution with the users.
•Developing training materials and providing end-user training.
•Provide ongoing user support throughout the implementation of ‘to-be’ processes.

Key accountabilities

•Provide solutions for complex business and system problems, where no precedent may exist.
•Documenting business requirements.
•Documenting functional specifications.
•Configuring the MM solution to meet business requirements.
•Accurately employs the SAP-ESC PMO methodology and documentation tools.
•Meets deadlines and manages time effectively.
•Unit, string, integration and business scenario testing.
•Designing and managing user acceptance testing.
•Designing, reviewing and delivering user training and training material.
•Resolving problems and issues arising from the testing process.
•Researching SAP issues and errors and resolving technical problems.
•Testing components coded by the software factory.

•In-depth understanding of Materials Management SAP module.

Qualifications and Experience

•Appropriate and recognised formal qualifications and / or comparable experience in the configuration and build of SAP solutions.
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a SAP Materials Management Functional Consultant writing specifications for standard and custom development in master and transactional data.
•SAP Certification is recommended.
•Understanding the Business requirements AS-IS and TO-BE document and sign off with users for Business blue print document.
•Should be open to learn new products and take additional responsibilities.
•5 years of experience with SAP MM configuration & customizing and preferably in related modules.
•Local Government experience will be advantageous.
