Mandatory Requirements
• Minimum 3 x years Project Management experience
• Project Management experience delivering a SAP Solution
• A recognised Project Management accreditation/ qualification

Brief overview of job functions
Establishing a Project Plan for the successful implementation of a SAP solution. Engaging with all stakeholders to maximise employee engagement and business commitment to the solution.
Ensuring knowledge transfer takes place between the Project team and SAP-ESC Support & Maintenance teams.

Key accountabilities
Project Manager’s Key Responsibilities:
• Applying the SAP-ESC project methodology and ensuring governance is followed.
• Develop a detailed project plan in support of the strategic mandate of the project.
• Contribute to project steering committee meetings to ensure that all project objectives are met.
• Monitor budget, time and scope if the project to ensure the successful implementation of the project within specified time frames and budget parameters.
• Engage and partner with all stakeholders to ensure that the project meets the business needs.
• Provide feedback to the ESC-PMO, Project Committees and other key stakeholders at regular intervals on project status.
• Communicate with fellow project team members as well as other internal stakeholders to resolve issues of common interest and/or to share information.
• Ensure accurate record keeping, document and content management of all project and business related documentation.
• Ensure that all relevant issues/facts are covered in reports and contribute to sound decision making.

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of the following project methodologies:
- ASAP (Accelerated SAP project methodology)
- SAP Agile
- PRINCE 2
• Communication: Written and oral.
• Leadership: Ability to lead and guide.
• Team Management: Promoting teamwork, delegating tasks, resolving conflict, setting goals, and evaluating performance.
• Negotiation: Ability to negotiate the use of resources, budgets, schedules, scope creep.
• Risk Management: Ability to identify and mitigate risks before they become issues.
• Financial Management: Reporting on finances, aligning expenditure to budgets and cash flow projections.
• Planning and Organising: Ability to accurately scope a project and translate project objectives into specific plans. Organises, prioritises and schedules tasks so that they can be performed within budget and with efficient use of time and resources.
• Monitoring and Control: Able to set up systems and procedures to collect data, formulate and report on project progress to comply with the City’s governance requirements.

Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum 3 x years Project Management experience
• Project Management experience delivering a SAP Solution
• A recognised Project Management accreditation/ qualification
• Local Government experience will be beneficial
• Experience with large-scale organisational project management effort will be beneficial.
• Experience in SAP Plant Maintenance and GIS integration solutions will be advantageous.
