An international distribution company seeks to employ a Sap systems operator for their Jhb branch.

Minimum Requirements :

Completed matric, a related tertiary qualification.

Minimum of 2- 5 full SAP experience within the FMCG/Retail industry.

Must have managed staff

Computer literate (MS Office) – advanced experience in Excel is a must

Above average communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent time management and organizational skills, and a high level of follow through.

Ability to work independently however must also be a team player.

Ability to interact and communicate with departments within the organizatio

Able to work overtime if and when required.


Key Responsibilities:

Inventory adjustment as necessary (shortage/excess in location).

Checking for duplicate materials for a barcode

Checking for non-moving inventory and transferring it to the IM Storage.

On-going terminal equipment maintenance vis-a-vis Information Systems.

Maintenance of barcode labels for locations (compilation and storage).

Training new compilers in the proper use of hand-held terminals.

On-going maintenance of picking bins - checking automatic refreshment settings (maximum/minimum quantity).

Material weight maintenance - setting deviation percentage and checking the master data accuracy once every six months.

Order of Movement: the catalog numbers in the storage must be arranged by weight, from the heaviest to the lightest and similar products must be shelved far from one another; a weekly review must be conducted to affirm this organization and transfer one or more products to different locations if it cannot be maintained.
