Our client, a leader in the defense/military industry, is looking for a dynamic individual to take up the role of Scientist / Ballistician to become a part of their team!

PURPOSE OF JOB

Give ballistic support to the company and rest of industry, do ballistic research, conduct ballistic tests, analyse data and do ballistic software development.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Ballistics Test Planning and Management of Artillery tests with multi party involvement.
• Software development to solve particular ballistic related problems.
• Analyse and interpret test results like tracking radar data and make recommendations/conclusions based on analyses.
• Understand and implement the complete process for Range Table compilation of different weapon systems and in different formats.
• Project management of ballistic projects to ensure timely delivery of deliverables within cost and time limitations.

CRITICAL SKILLS

• Computer literate with experience of Fortran or C.
• Analytical approach to problem solving.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• BSc Hons (Physics, Applied Mathematics or Computer Science).
• Exposure in field of Artillery, Armour and Air defense.
• Exposure to aerodynamics.
• Exposure to systems engineering will be an advantage.
• Software development experience.
• Must be able to work independently.
